Awesome Three

Three Letter Words
do they not like?

But three makes sense
Things happen in threes

~~~
Divinity comes in threes…
God – The Omniscient, The Omnipresent, The Omnipotent
The Holy TrinityFather, Son, Holy Ghost
Creates, Redeems, Sustains
The Trimurti Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva
The Creator, The Preserver, The Destroyer
Buddha’s Triple GemsBuddha, Dhamma, Sangha.
The Enlightened One, His teachings, His followers
~~~

Life’s three phases
Birth, Life, Death.

Time’s three realms
Past, Present, Future.

Sin’s three types
Thought, Word, Deed

Triple shades of health
Body, Mind and Spirit

~~~
Three – Not bad
Why avoid three?
We’re often third time lucky
Count – one, two and three…
three
The farmer’s wife had cut off the tails of three blind mice with a carving knife and, see how they ran.
(In Australia,  Triple Zero (000) is the primary national emergency number. Police, Fire, Ambulance –  help yourselves…)
    • Thanks for your comments! I somehow respect your judgement. Therefore I am asking you about WP rating system.
      See, as soon as I published this poem, somebody gave it a single star – that is – ‘very poor’. Does it deserve this poor rating?
      • Trust me.. i saw that, felt weird and i gave a 5 star! You should have noticed that..
        You know whoever it was might have thought 1 start means number 1. I think we should pick a interpretation that will keep us happy… 🙂
        and indeed, it is lovely poem! 🙂
        • Thanks again for the appreciation. I didn’t notice immediately that you gave 5 star but I believe you did that 🙂 as there was only one person who rated it before you did.
          Yes, possibly that person thought 1 star means number one. Possibly not. Everyone has a right to like or dislike any creative work. My own way to do things are different. Suppose if I find something objectionable in someone’s work and I feel like conveying that…I prefer to comment and discuss, and share my views openly. This discrete disapproval leaves me guessing why this poem deserved one star, that’s why I mentioned it to you.
          God bless him/her whosoever he/she is 🙂
          • 🙂
            I totally understand. May be the the one star was even with out reading.. could be!
            I will tell my little secret.. what i generally do is, as soon as i publish a post, i self rate it. (Only with 5 starts coz of all the efforts i put in writing it).
            Then very few people opt to rate it. Mostly they turn to likes or comments from rest.. 🙂
  1. Wonderful, truthful, beautiful…, Alka. 🙂
    I loved this poem. I have given 5 stars because it truly deserves that. And you’re right in blessing that person who has given you 1 star.
    • Thanks for liking my poem! When I saw one star, it was scary and upsetting at the same time. Scary if someone is trying to demoralize me by showing dislike for my work. But who can this person be? Upsetting too as I have always appreciated others’ works.
      But…God bless him/her. I was upset for a day but in the long run it will inspire me to improve my work if I can. Possibly there was something wrong in my poem that the person hated 🙂 Hope it’s not religion.
