Bearing calmly the soft suffering
The pain of letting go; eyeing its unborn
With keen anticipation and hope
2016 stands pregnant; pot-bellied
And fertile, ready to give birth
To months, days, hours, moments
Let it relax and breathe deep!
Let it be an easy birth!
Let all babies glide forth!
Would they be stillborn, or bubbling
With life; hungry and crying
For more joy, feats new evermore?
Merry months, delightful days
Happy hours, beautiful moments
The essence of our very being
Once cuddled and well-fed
They will lie peacefully, to grow
Gently cradled within our lives

Wish you all a very Happy New Year 2016!
This time last year it was my simple poem for 2015 when I was new to blogging
So eloquent a prose. Very nice imagery.

Wish you too a very happy New Year. It is all about transition and then smooth sailing further on – while still relishing the good and bad memories of 2015. God bless you and yours!

I hope you have only good memories of 2015 to carry along to 2016 and no bad memories at all. You are one of the sweetest persons I met in the blog world.
God bless you !

Well if we think of it, there are always mixed memories we carry forward. I seem to reciprocate your sweetness as it is give and take, isn’t it? May all your dreams come true in 2016!

Thanks Maniparna! Happy to know you liked it. Our unknown future causes strange anxiety, hence all we can do is pray and wish for each other :)… and karma sure it is…

Brilliant comparison of the arrival of the new year and baby, that too through a poem. Congrats!!

Thanks! It was a very impulsive poem. I’m glad it has been well accepted and understood.
I saw your gravatar only now but there is no blog there.

Hi,
I know Lis, Jacqueline, Balroop, and Susie. Beautiful poem about having a baby and the accompanying graphic was perfect!
I met you on Danny Ray’s site. Congratulations on being his featured blogger! I was his featured blogger too! Perhaps you’ll check out my blog especially if you could use a blogging tip or two; that what I blog about.

Thanks Janice for appreciating my work and for the wishes! I’ll have a look at your blog. I remember I visited it before and found it very informative. I do need to break free of my casual approach towards blogging and follow some of your tips.

Definitely I will Janice as there’s much to gain! For now, a request to you…please tell me what is wrong with my blog? Anything that you can think of. A sudden question that will fetch an impulsive answer, but it will help me.
Thanks!

Actually I do know what is wrong with my blog. Even with wide variety of well-liked writings, I have no niche. The header image is inappropriate and too big, and the blog name is high-sounding. The theme too needs to be more recent…and a few more drawbacks that I’m aware of.
But I will get back to you maybe next month when I’m more free.
