Woman and Wine
Ditched by a bad hen
He immersed not in his tears
Soused himself in wine
*
Hooked to Tears
Poetry that pours out
From the core of a weeping heart
Addictive as wine
(addictive to the writer as well as the reader)

These were my two Haiku poems for: Ronovan Writes Weekly Haiku Poetry Prompt Challenge 61. Have a look at Ronovan’s site. You too can take part in Haiku Challenge.

Love this pairing, particularly the coq au vin. ☺

Thanks! That’s funny…a bird immersed in wine becomes coq au win.
I knew about this French recipe but looked for it again 🙂

Thank you so much! Yes, all those who are hooked to tears will love poetry that talks about this act of getting hooked to tears 😉

Hi Alka! Both haiku are excellent and they go well together. That wine holding chicken is hilarious! 😀

Thanks Edwina! I too enjoyed writing them 🙂 Different from the serious stuff I write all the time.
